NICK CATONE – Owner / Head Instructor

Nick graduated in 2004 from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ where he wrestled his last 4 years. Nick started his career at Rutgers University with 24 wins as a true freshman and the following year he transferred to Rider University. Nick had over 100 career NCAA Division I wins and he continued to wrestle at Rider after he graduated to train for his upcoming MMA fights. He currently holds a black belt rank in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the guidance of legendary 4th degree BJJ black belt and UFC veteran, Ricardo Almeida. Nick’s Jiu-Jitsu training began in 2005 and his first professional (MMA) mixed martial arts fight was in May 2007.  After fighting in the local MMA events with an undefeated record of 6-0 (five first round finishes), he became the middleweight champion for Lou Neglia’s Ring of Combat. In 2008, Nick received an opportunity to sign a multiple fight deal with the world’s largest fight organization with the UFC ® – Ultimate Fighting Championship and debuted his UFC career on February 7, 2009 with a submission win against Derek Downey at the sun dome in Tampa, Florida. In addition to training full-time for the UFC, Nick dedicates himself coaching and instructing at his 8,000 square foot state of the art training facility in his hometown, Brick NJ.

Brian uses his experience as a collegiate athlete, along with several years in the athletic training field to provide high caliber sports fitness training for youth athletes. Brian believes athletes should “train hard and train smart,” a philosophy that helps him push athletes to their limits and beyond. He knows that discipline and hard work are the foundation of athletic success. His knowledge and experience create a safe and effective atmosphere in which athletes can excel. Brian has worked with athletes of all ages and has gotten outstanding results. He has trained and assisted many top-performing athletes in the Toms River area, as well as having worked with many collegiate athletes. His experience working as a manager in a large fitness facility allows him to bring a unique perspective to his dealings with both athletes and parents. His client service experience allows him to better communicate with parents and athletes, thereby making the goal-setting and education process more enjoyable and more productive.

Corey Anderson – MMA & Boxing Instructor Currently ranked #12 in the world at Light-Heavyweight Coach Corey Anderson has a 7-1 Professional career record and is currently ranked #12 in the world in the UFC Light Heavyweight Division. He was revealed as one of the cast members of the nineteenth season of The Ultimate Fighter, coached by Frankie Edgar and BJ Penn, on March 25, 2014. In the elimination rounds to determine who got into the TUF house, Anderson fought and defeated Kelly Anundson by unanimous decision after two rounds. He was then chosen as the first pick for Team Edgar’s light heavyweights. In the quarter-finals, Anderson fought Team Penn’s Josh Clark. Anderson utilized his wrestling to control the majority of the bout, resulting in a majority decision win. Anderson next fought fellow Team Edgar teammate, Patrick Walsh, in the semi-finals. He defeated Walsh by unanimous decision to secure his spot ate the finale. Corey faced Matt Van Buren in the light heavyweight finals on July 6, 2014 at The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale. He quickly won the bout via TKO just 61 seconds into the first round to become the light heavyweight tournament winner. His 61 second first round TKO marked the fastest finish ever to the finale of The Ultimate Fighter show.
